Support for Philly Pet Owners
Resources, guidance, and updates to help you care for your pet—right here in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is home to thousands of beloved pets and the people who care deeply for them. This page is here to support you and to help serve as a resource hub to pet owners to provide support, and also help keep people and pets together whenever possible, and when that isn’t possible to help those pets in need find loving homes.
As part of that effort, thanks to Councilmember Cindy Bass’s leadership, a temporary moratorium on dog breeding and selling of dogs 7 months of age or younger passed and takes effect on June 4th.
ACCT Philly is the entity charged with enforcement of this, and we know changes like this can raise questions. Our goal is to make things as clear and helpful as possible and to connect you with the resources you need to care for your pet.
