500th Philadelphia dog adopted through ACCT Philly and Doggie Style Pets partnership

ACCT Philly and Doggie Style Pets have reached a significant milestone with the 500th dog adoption facilitated through their partnership, underscoring the success of their collaborative efforts in finding homes for Philadelphia’s homeless dogs.

“With an average of 22 dogs coming into our facility daily, we are having to constantly find new ways to save more lives,” says Sarah Barnett, Executive Director of ACCT Philly. “This unique partnership has not only helped dogs find homes and increased ACCT’s reach in the community, but it also creates space for incoming dogs with every adoption, enabling us to care for more dogs in need. We are so grateful to Doggie Style Pets choosing to give back to Philadelphia’s homeless dogs in such an impactful way”

Doggie Style Pets invites community members to assist with dog walking and socialization at their stores, providing essential support for the well-being of the dogs in their care. This socialization is crucial for preparing the dogs for their future homes and helping them feel more comfortable and confident. Interested individuals can sign up for volunteer shifts directly through the Doggie Style Pets website. Shifts are available during regular business hours and can be booked in advance. Volunteers are also needed at ACCT Philly to transport dogs to the 13 Doggie Style Pets stores in the area.
